Living Well With
Pain & Chronic Conditions
Your experience is real. Your life is more than a diagnosis.
Living with chronic pain or an ongoing health condition can affect nearly every part of life โ your energy, relationships, work, confidence, and sense of self.
At Embodied Connections, we believe you deserve support for more than your physical symptoms. Our six-week individual psychotherapy program helps you navigate the emotional and everyday challenges of living with chronic conditions while reconnecting with what matters most.
You deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported.
Living with an ongoing condition can be exhausting.
Whether you're navigating chronic pain, an autoimmune condition, persistent fatigue, arthritis, neurological symptoms, or another long-term health challenge, the impact often extends far beyond medical appointments.
You may be grieving the way life used to feel, struggling with uncertainty, or trying to balance your health with the expectations of everyday life.
"You don't have to prove your symptoms to deserve support."
Does any of this sound familiar?
- You feel frustrated by unpredictable symptoms or flare-ups.
- You struggle with fatigue, limited energy, or changing physical abilities.
- You worry about what symptoms might mean for your future.
- You feel misunderstood by family, friends, or healthcare providers.
- Your condition has affected relationships, work, identity, or activities you enjoy.
- You have difficulty balancing activity, rest, and expectations.
- You want to feel more confident advocating for your needs.
A different way forward
Living well doesn't mean ignoring pain, denying limitations, or forcing yourself to be positive. It means developing the skills to respond to difficult experiences with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-compassion.
Our approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioral strategies, including CBT for chronic pain where appropriate. Together, we'll explore four essential areas.
Think Flexibly
Explore worry, fear, uncertainty, and thought patterns without dismissing your medical reality.
Make Room
Learn to navigate frustration, grief, anxiety, and the emotional weight of chronic conditions.
Re-engage
Reconnect with meaningful activities and relationships through realistic, sustainable steps.
Advocate
Communicate your needs and participate more confidently in medical care, relationships, and daily life.
